One of these is a 17 year old quadreplegic named
Eyal
Sherman.
Eyal suffered a brain stem stroke as a young child
following surgery for a tumor. He is about as paralized as one
can be; there is not even any head or tongue movement.
From our brief tutorial
on human-computer interface you'll quickly see that, unassisted,
someone like Eyal just ain't equiped to use computers. His physical
limitations prevent independent use of any kind of technology,
let alone a computer. Applying our theory
of interface to Eyal we began the process of interfacing
him with a computer. Below are some snapshots of that process.
