INSTITUTE FOR INTERVENTIONAL INFORMATICS (I3)
Center for Really Neat Research
II

In November, 1996 the Institute for Interventional Informatics leased a large space for research and development. Formerly the Syracuse University PHI KAPPA PSI fraternity house at Comstock and University Place, The Center for Really Neat Research (i.e., CRNR) houses the Cyberarium. CRNR was started in Southern California by I3 co-founders Dave Warner and Janice Robertson.  With its abundant and diverse spaces as well as its proximity to the University, this second incarnation of the Center is perfect for the Cyberarium CRNR is an environment rich with talent and activity.  In addition to Cyberarium, CRNR is a station for work in industrial design, digital electronics and music.

For our projects here we have assembled a team of people each with unique skills and talents which come together to create an exceptional system.  Operating with a core group, other participants cycle through CRNR for internships, REU programs and other such opportunities.  Perspective and talent are thereby in a regular flux which is extremely valuable to a project whose raw material is as rapidly changing a phenomenon as cyberspace.
