Hardware Instructions
Basic facts and examples for input and output systems are shown. Besides this, a very simple demo system for the function of the sensor technology is mentioned.
4 input channels of TNG2 allow different applications. Each channel has one input line, A/D - converter, and ground and +5V from the computer.
A signal between 0 and +5V is converted by a single chip processor and sent to the PC.
If a changing resistance should be measured, a voltage divider correlates the resistance with a certain voltage between 0 and +5V.
The first example shows a light sensitive resistor used in the latest version of the headset and the light sensitive panel. The very left part of the diagram displays a 1/8 stereo plug, which is used to couple the sensor to TNG2.

The second example shows a pressure sensore, realized by some Velostat foil between two electrodes. An application is the Magic Rug.

A solar panel can be used as a light sensitive device to sense flash lights and laser pointers over great distances.

To split one analog channel into four or more switches :

Using the parallel port as an output option, following examples show how to use the output signals to activate something :

In the first example a light signal activates the LED, the sensitivity can be adjusted with the potentiometer.

The pressure sensor mentioned above integrated in the simulator.

Converting the output signal into TTL signals :
